Tai E’s open letter in response to coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic
Dear clients and associates:

At this difficult time, Tai E International Patent & Law Office is closely monitoring the epidemic of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic just like you. Our main goal is to maintain the health and well-being of our employees, and to provide our clients with seamless, uninterrupted, as always high-quality services in an appropriate, safe and efficient manner.

The current epidemic situation in Taiwan is still under control. Except for the start of employee self-health management, suspension of unnecessary visits or meetings, and the prohibition of traveling abroad for colleagues, all operations of the firm are as usual. In addition, we also plan ahead to preventive measures such as cross-processing, working in different places, and working from home; even if the epidemic develops further, we can still complete the work you have entrusted to us. Through specific equipment, account protection, hierarchical authorization, encrypted transmission, and other security measures, we ensure that our employees can not only remotely access the files of the remote backup system but also protect the privacy and confidentiality of clients.

In short, in any case, we will continue to take all feasible steps to ensure that we fulfill our obligations to our clients. We understand that the world is fighting the epidemic, and you will receive many emails about the epidemic every day. Therefore, in order not to increase your burden, except for the communications of entrusted cases, we only contact you proactively in the following conditions: (1) changing the way of working and require your cooperation (for example: if the epidemic situation worsens, the ability to mail and courier may be affected to varying degrees. Therefore, we may request you to contact Tai E by e-mail before mailing or express delivery, in order to inform you of the feasibility of mailing, and even provide you with a different address for safer and faster receipt); (2) your rights and interests are substantially affected. If you are interested in the news about the epidemic situation of the Taiwan government, the Taiwan IPO and even our firm, please feel free to refer to our website.

Finally, we look forward to everyone's safe passage through this difficult epidemic, and thank you for your continued trust in Tai E. If there is anything we can do, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely yours,
Jerry Lin (CEO & Partner) and all Tai E employees
