To give foreign applicants a better understanding of the amended Accelerated Examination Program (AEP) that was promulgated on July 1, 2011, an English version of the amended AEP is now available on the official TIPO website. According to this amendment, all patent applications must be laid-open at the time request for AEP is made and request made under Condition 3 will be charged a filing fee of NT$4000 per case.
