自2023年7月1日起，為配合世界智慧財產權組織 (World Intellectual Property Organization, WIPO) ST.26標準，德國專利局廢除先前的標準，故自前述日期起，一件專利申請案內含核苷酸和氨基酸序列表，須以符合WIPO ST.26 標準的 XML 檔案格式的提交。
 

新標準適用於2023年7月1日（含）起向德國專利局提交的發明專利申請案和新型專利申請案，且適用於2023年7月1日（含）提交且主張2023年7月1日前的優先權之發明專利申請案和新型專利申請案，故前述案件仍會包含依據2023年6月30日前規定的舊序列表格。此外，新版本的標準亦適用於分割申請案，即使原案是在2023年7月1日前提交。
