The Taiwan IPO Released a Report on Trends of FinTech Patents

Due to rapid developments in the field of international financial science and related technologies in recent years, the number of related patents has accordingly accumulated. In contrast, the number of domestic financial technology patents is still relatively small, especially in the core technology field.

The Taiwan IPO conducted a statistical analysis of the trend of international financial technology patent applications over nearly a decade. Through analysis of the related results, the Taiwan IPO further assessed development trends in the field of financial technology and commercial applications. Besides, the Taiwan IPO explored the development of domestic financial technology patents, reviewed international core patent literature, investigated development trends of important core technologies, as well as set out to discover important technologies commonly used in the field of financial technology and to analyze the mainstream trends of their technological applications and possible future developments.

The report also compares the trend of international financial technology patent applications to provide a reference for the domestic financial-related industry.
