On April 30, 2019, the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO) set up a webpage inviting comments about the quality of patent examination on its official website. Applicants or agents may fill out the feedback form to present opinions about the quality of patent examination with respect to a specific case or general issue. In principle, the TIPO will make a response within three days from the receipt of the feedback. Where a response cannot be timely made, the TIPO will notify the applicant or agent via telephone or email and then issue the response later. It is expected that the new measure will be helpful to enhance the quality of patent examination.
